SHE FOUND IT
Well, as you can see by the picture above, the girl has found it. Yes she has found that infamous thumb and since yesterday it seems the favourite thing to have in her mouth. Did I say I was disappointed when I saw this picture? Through my mind runs thoughts of yet more family braces, jaw problems, dental expenses...NOT TO MENTION SLOBERY HANDS!
Today we thought we could squeeze in some pictures at Walmart. Luanne had phoned and booked an appt. for 4pm. We showed up on time and were left waiting until 4:30pm because the people inside had issues with their baby co-operating. Not Makayla, no way she would be in and out in a flash (pardon the punn) Well, the girl got a bit testy, wanted something to eat, then a new bum and then heaven help us she wanted to sleep. Waking her up was not the best of ideas...so when it came time for the smile...NOT!! We tried for a half an hour but nothing. So, out we went with a rescheduled time....Better luck next time.

Easter 2005
Well it was first Easter with baby and family and it is good to say that the chocolate hasnt affected her to much. Ray, Sue and the kids came over on Saturday for the day. We had a fire most of the day, worked on the bike and computers and had donair pockets from the Villager. Oh and it may be important to note that the little girl finnally took it upon herself to christen her daddy before getting into the shower with mommy. I cant complain, she hasnt peed on me yet.
Check out the new pictures that were put up on the site Monday night.

Easter Weekend
So today we went for a walk, it was beautiful out. Bundled up in a snow suit from Nanny B we got in the stroller and headed down the road. It was windy and until we put a blanket a bit more over her face it seemed like Makayla was fighting to breath (we know better for next time). This weekend uncles, aunts and friends plan to visit our house (really they are coming to see the girl but I like to think I am some what important too). Justin has had enough with baby this and baby that so he has decided to get out for a night and sleep over at a friends house tonight. (But I know he misses her cause he has already been back once today....He wont be able to stay away all night just watch).
We have learned this week that the little one is no longer happy with laying down to get changed, infact she isn't happy laying down for anything other than sleeping. So it is interesting for me to try to get her dressed while she is flopping around trying to sit up on her own. Makayla seems to be sleeping better through the night usually going down around 11 and sleeping until 6am or so. Then she gets a bite to eat and falls back to sleep with mommy until about 9:30 or 10:00.
Bath time is always fun around here, Makayla absolutely loves the water. Today her and I had a shower. I was a bit nervous of dropping her but mommy was close at hand incase I needed some help. She got a taste of water splashing in her face something we are sure she will get when we enter into the WATER BABIES next month.

Spring is coming
Well, I cant seem to wait until spring, I have the bike itch and cant wait to get the ol beast out and cleaned up. Weather seems to be getting nicer here in Halifax up to 4 degrees today. Sitting here watching American Idol, not a very good show tonight I feel. Makayla seems to be in a bit better spirits this evening and she is actually in bed at 9:39 (what a surprise) I wonder if this means she will be up all night now.

Makayla's Christening
We are pleased to annouce that our little girl Makayla Celena Tomlin will be Baptised at St. Augustine's Curch on Sunday April 10th at 9am. All are welcome to attend. Please feel free to contact us for information and direction. We will be having a get together at our house after the cermomy.
She must be teething
Well the last week has been rough. Makayla is constantly drooling and chewy on her fist..is she hungry?? The screams tell us something must be wrong. The more we read the more we feel that she may be teething. We've learned that babies can teeth as early as 10 weeks old and our little angel is now 11 1/2 weeks.
